Tony Stewart Announced as Analyst for FOX Alongside Clint Bowyer for the Clash at the Coliseum and the Daytona 500

By January 23, 2022No Comments

NASCAR legend Tony Stewart has been announced as a guest analyst at FOX for the Clash and the iconic Daytona 500 in the coming season. And he isn’t alone as Clint Bowyer will also join him and so will Mike Joy.

In a video posted by FOX, the NASCAR Hall of Famer said, “Super excited to be joining Fox for not only for the Clash at the LA Coliseum but also at Daytona for the Daytona 500.”

“Gonna be awesome working with my buddy Clint Bowyer and poor Mike Joy, he’s gotta babysit both for us.”

In a press release, Stewart described why he simply couldn’t pass up on the opportunity.

“To call the very first Busch Light Clash at the Coliseum AND the Daytona 500 is an opportunity you don’t pass up,” Stewart said. “The size and scope of both these races is massive, and it’s an honor to be a part of them with FOX.”

“Anytime you get to talk racing with Clint and Mike, you’re going to have a good time.”

Tony Stewart rectifies a mistake from his 2020 speech

When Stewart was inducted into the NASCAR Hall of Fame in 2020, he admitted at the beginning of his address that the speech he had prepared was ‘wrecked’ and he has to make do with a backup one.

As a result, he forgot to acknowledge his manager, Eddie Jarvis, during the speech. This was something that was nagging at him since.

Until recently, during this year’s HoF ceremony in which Stewart inducted Red Farmer, he took the moment to rectify the wrong from two years ago.

He went off-script this time and said, “Eddie Jarvis, thank you for everything you did in my career. Sorry, it took two years to make up for missing this two years ago, but we got you tonight.”

It will be super interesting to see (and hear) how Tony Stewart fares in his analysis of the two opening races. Will he be his usual honest self? Will he be a little diplomatic?

We hope it’s the former. What about you?
