I made bridesmaids dresses for my wedding to save some cash but I can’t believe my friends wore them

WE might not know all that much about party-planning – but if you add “wedding” to the front of “dress”, “venue” or “band”, it’ll probably triple in price.

So with that in mind, we can’t blame any brides-to-be for trying to save money where they can.

That said, we might want to ALL take this woman’s experience as a reminder that maybe we should leave making the bridesmaid dresses to the professionals.

In a viral TikTok that’s racked up over 45,000 “likes”, Samantha VanMeter Foreman shared the extreme measures she went took to strip back her budget back in 2012.

Sharing the throwback images from her wedding, Samantha wrote: “That time I made my bridesmaid dresses and legit made these girls wear these in my wedding!”

Miming along to a viral audio clip, the bride joked that she would give her efforts a “one out of 10”.

In keeping with her orange-and-pink colour theme, Samantha made a striped bridesmaid dresses with spaghetti straps.

And if that wasn’t divisive enough, she then finished off with a big tulle ballerina-style skirt.

Needless to say, the dress design was even worse than viewers expected – and people likened it to something you’d find in a bathroom.

One replied: “I hope you wrote them all an apology letter.”

Another added: “I’m getting loofa vibes…”

“I was not prepared,” a third joked.

Meanwhile, others said it was testament to Samantha’s rock solid friendships.

“Ma’am you’ve got some good friends there,” a fourth wrote.

For more wedding horror stories, guests were fuming over ‘insulting’ meal they were served… and people agree they have a point.

And this woman proudly showed off engagement ring – but that’s NOT what got people talking.

Plus this woman was desperate to get engaged before 30 so she bought her own ring and made her man propose on holiday.
