Ric Flair Provides Update on WWE Legend’s Health: “I Think He’s Out of the Nursing Home”

WWE Legend Ric Flair had a conversation with Mark Wadden about Terry Funk. The duo spoke about Funk’s health and Flair’s conversation with him.

During the conversation, Flair spoke about Funk’s health and that he is doing much better than before.

“I’m actually going to see Terry maybe. I’m gonna be in Lubbock and I may just jump over but if not, I’ll call him. I think he’s out of the nursing home, so.”

Even Mark Wadden chimed in saying that he would love to join Ric Flair when he goes to meet WWE Hall of Famer Terry Funk.

Additionally, The Nature Boy had an interesting conversation with Terry Funk about who is alive and who isn’t.

“He called me about a year ago. This is before he got sick. I answered the phone and I found my caller ID. I go, ‘what are you doing?’ He said, ‘I’ve been calling people all morning long. You’re the first one to answer the phone. Who is alive besides you and me?’ I said, ‘I think your brother’s Alice but you don’t see him very often’. The last three travelling world champions are me, Terry, and Dory.”

It’s good to know Funk’s doing much better than before! His wrestling career spanned over fifty years, and even adopted a hardcore style of wrestling towards the latter half of his career.

Ric Flair and Terry Funk created history in 1989

Back in 1989, Funk and Flair feuded and it ultimately led to an “I Quit” match.

Right before Funk yelled out “I Quit”, he kept saying he doesn’t quit. But, he did after Flair locked his legs and put him through excruciating pain.

However, that match plays a huge role in WWE’s history. Moreover, Ric Flair referred to that moment when reports revealed Funk was admitted to a nursing home. He took to social media to remind Funk that he never quits.
