Samsung reveals date for ‘top secret’ Galaxy S22 Unpacked event after accidental website leak

THE EXACT date and time for Samsung’s Galaxy S22 Unpacked event have been revealed in a leak.

A few days ago, Samsung announced that it would reveal its Galaxy S22 smartphone series in February.

The new Samsung Galaxy S22 is due to be revealed on February 9, 2022, according to leaked accounts.

However, the tech giant had not shared the exact date or time for its latest Galaxy Unpacked event.

Now, it seems the details of the highly-anticipated phone launch have been leaked.

Reliable leakster Evan Blass (who goes by @evleaks on Twitter) has shared an image on the platform that details the Galaxy S22 launch date and timing.

The already-coveted Samsung smartphone will go official on February 9, 2022, at 3:00 PM, however, it’s unclear which time zone as it’s not included in the image.

The Unpacked event will also be streamed online, according to tech site BGR.

The leaked image further displays a glass cube with an S placed inside and mentions the tagline ‘The Epic Standard,’ which might refer to the merger of the Galaxy S and Galaxy Note series, according to Samsung leak site SAMmobile.

Also leaked yesterday by tipster Roland Quandt, are the European prices for the Galaxy S22 series, which includes the standard S22, the S22+, and S22 Ultra.

According to the leakster, the Galaxy S22 with 8GB RAM and 128GB will start at €849, meanwhile, the 256GB variant will go for €899.

The Galaxy S22+ model that features 8GB RAM and 128GB is supposedly priced at €1,049, while the higher storage version is €1,099.

The Galaxy S22 Ultra with 8GB RAM and 128GB will start at €1,249 and the 256GB version will go for €1,349.

All of the smartphone variants are rumored to possess several impressive features including an in-display ultrasonic fingerprint reader, IP68 rating for dust and water resistance, a metal frame, and Gorilla Glass Victus+ protection.

The Galaxy S22+ and the Galaxy S22 Ultra are also believed to support up to 45W fast charging.
