‘Can’t wait for this’: Squid Game fans thrilled as Lee Yoo-mi appears in All of Us Are Dead – but hopes she doesn’t die

Fans recognised her as player 240 on Netflix’s hit series Squid Game, and now Lee Yoo-mi is back in the highly-anticipated horror All Of Us Are Dead.

The 27-year-old actress’ role in the latest Korean series is unknown, however she confirmed her cameo with a picture on Instagram.

The eight-part series focuses on a high school which becomes ground zero for a zombie virus outbreak. Trapped students must fight their way out – or turn into one of the rabid infected. 

Lee Yoo’s character met a deadly end as she made it to the third round of the fictional squid games, that followed a group of people in severe debt who agree to take part in a sadistic, life-threatening challenges in a bid to win an unimaginable fortune.

This time round, viewers are hoping for a slightly happier outcome as they took to Twitter to share their opinions.

One person made their feelings known and wrote: ‘If she dies again, I’ll unsubscribe from Netflix.’

Another commented: ‘Is she going to die again? Coz girl needs a break from getting killed.’

The zombie apocalypse programme has been written by Chun Sung-il, while J.Q. Lee and Kim Nam-su serve as directors, and also stars Park Ji-hu, Lim Jae-hyeok and Lomon, Yoo In-soo.

The official synopsis reads: ‘All of Us Are Dead tells the story of a group of students trapped in their school amid a zombie outbreak, forced to band together for survival.

‘With thousands of students immediately contaminated, it leaves only a few remaining alive on campus.

‘This series revolves around these students who are linked by a desire to survive along with betrayal and friendship in its most unlikely forms.’

With the trailer already surpassing seven million views, it looks like the series could be set to break records.

If it’s as gruesome as Squid Game, you might want to prepare yourselves.

Squid Game is available on Netflix and All Of Us Are Dead is available to stream on Friday.
