Relief for Sebastian Vettel & Co. As Aston Martin Quash Rumor of Missing 2022 F1 Test in Barcelona

The start of the 2022 season is getting closer by the day. The new season will see the sport bring in new regulations and a budget cap for the teams to operate in. F1 recently announced that they will hold a private session in Barcelona at the end of February for the teams to run their new 2022 cars. There were some reports that the Aston Martin racing team might miss this private session because they were behind schedule and their car wasn’t ready.

Can Aston Martin make it to the first private session in Barcelona?

Thejudge13.com reported that a source close to Aston Martin revealed that they might not make it to Barcelona on 23rd February.

“The car is miles behind to the point if it makes 1st test at Barcelona on Feb 23rd everyone will be so surprised you’ll hear the cheer from outer space….” said the source.

The source revealed that Aston Martin CEO Lawrence Stroll is not happy with this news. Stroll has big ambitions for the team and wants to make them world champion by 2026. The source also mentioned that the new team principal, Mike Krack, has a lot of work ahead of him to get the 2022 car up and running.

But the British team took to social media to squash these reports. They mentioned that they’re on schedule and very much looking forward to the Barcelona private session in February.

“Work on our 2022 car is going well and will be ready for the first test in Barcelona,” said the Aston Martin F1 team.

Well, this confirmation will definitely be a relief to all Aston Martin fans and star driver Sebastian Vettel. It would have been disastrous for the team to miss the first session in Barcelona and put them behind other teams. 2022 is a big year for the team as it looks to make a comeback to the midfield and become more competitive than last year. Do you think they’ll be able to manage it?
