“He’s A Little Boy… Let Him Shoot”: 76ers Fan Reveals What Triggered Carmelo Anthony To Get Him Ejected vs Lakers
The Los Angeles Lakers missed LeBron James while taking on the Philadelphia 76era. The purple and gold couldn’t keep up with the hor Philly side as they lost yet another battle. However, there was drama towards the end of the game with Carmelo Anthony getting into it with the fan. Recently, the fan revealed what he told the league veteran.
While playing in the fourth quarter, things got chippy as Melo and a fan started talking. In an interview, the fan revealed what he was heckling at Melo.
For the most part, players are not bothered by what fans throw at them. Let it be insults or normal heckling, they take it well. However, on some occasions, time changes things. With the Lakers losing the game, Melo’s frustrations got to him and he lashed out at the fan.
Fan reveals what he said to Melo in Lakers vs 76ers
With the final minutes of the game, the Lake show was down and out. In between all this, a fan was yelling at Melo from the sidelines throughout. Hence, when he got the chance, Carmelo Anthony went right up to the fa to confront him. They ejected the fan immediately for his actions and he revealed what he yelled to Melo.
He said: “We’re blowing out in the game. I say to him, ‘You’re a little boy. Let him shoot. Let him shoot.’ He looked at me. He smiles. I think he goes down to the other end of the court. He comes back down…and I say, ‘Let him shoot. He’s a little boy.’ And he lost his cool out of nowhere.”

With the way things are, this isn’t the first incident with fans. And it won’t be the last time fans and players go at it. Being so close to the action, fans get a closer view of all that’s happening. So instead of heckling at the players, they should enjoy the experience and make their time worth it.
Simultaneously, it is only expected for things like this to happen. Playing on the road, the Lakers knew the fans would not be on their side. Moreover, Philly fans have always been hostile, and this played right into the narrative. Melo could have let it go, but there is no right or wrong reaction here. The fan was out of line and he received the appropriate punishment for it.
