Hulk Hogan is one of the decorated superstars in WWE history. Hulk Hogan shared one of the best rivalries with the likes of Randy Savage, Sting, The Rock, Shawn Michaels, André the Giant, and many more.
Recently, he shared a rare photo with his former rival and friend André the Giant. It’s been 29 years since the WWE Legend’s loss. André the Giant was one of the most anticipated superstars in WWE. His wrestling style and attitude left a great impression on the wrestling world.
Standing at seven feet, five inches, and weighing about 500 pounds, André the Giant was more than just a wrestler. Andre was a former WWE Champion and former WWE tag-team champion. He was a French wrestler who made a significant impact in many wrestling promotions, including WWE, WCW, All Japan Pro, NWA, and many more.
Moreover, he was an actor and worked in several films. He also featured in the 1987 classic movie, The Princess Bridge.
Hulk Hogan and André the Giant shared a great rivalry in WWE history. Both men fought in several battles, heading to the main event, WrestleMania, for the WWE Championship.

Hulk Hogan vs André the Giant
Hulk Hogan and André the Giant had a bitter rivalry in WWE for a decade. Both men had heated disputes on-screen. However, that’s wasn’t the case in real life. In real life, both men spent quality time.
In 1987, ‘The Hulkster’ and André the Giant buried the seeds of their rivalry with the big WrestleMania match. WWE fans were excited to watch the top guys in battle. During the 1987 Survivor Series, both men confronted each other. Fans saw the potential in Andre to defeat Hulk Hogan.
During this feud, WWE showcased Andre the babyface, while Hogan was a heel. At WrestleMania III, both men fought for the WWE title, where André faced defeat. During the match, Hogan slammed André with a billed weight of 500 lbs (236 kgs). The match was one of the greatest matches in WWE history where fans witnessed Hulk Hogan slamming the Giant.

Later, both men battled in a series of matches where finally André the Giant defeated Hulk Hogan for the WWE Title. Although being bitter rivals in reel life, both men were best friends in real life. Both men shared a different bond. Eventually, when Hogan won the WWE Championship, André was the one who poured champagne on his head.
