Mega Millions $421million jackpot won by single ticket in California after Friday draw
ONE lucky Californian became very rich on Friday after winning the huge Mega Millions $421million jackpot.
The California lottery said a single ticket bought at a gas station outside Los Angeles matched all five numbers plus the Mega number.

The winning numbers for Friday, January 28 were 3, 16, 25, 44, 55 and 13.
The winner bought the ticket at a Chevron in Woodland Hills, according to the California lottery.
“It’s a MEGA good Friday for California!” they said in a Friday tweet after the drawing.
The winner, whose name has not been revealed, will have a $289.5 million cash option.

Aside from the jackpot winner, four other purchased tickets in Mississippi, New York, Ohio and Texas matched all the five white balls to win $1million.
According to the New York Post, the Ohio winner also hit the Megaplier so he will receive an additional $3million.
It had been three months since the last jackpot winner in October, when an Arizona resident won $108 million.
The next Mega Millions drawing will take place on February 1, with the jackpot going back to $20million.
