Janet Jackson’s new four-part series, Janet, is due to land in the UK, giving fans an insight into the ups and downs of her life and career.
The music icon, 55, is honouring 40 years since the release of her debut album with the documentary, which vows to leave no stone unturned.
Janet will cover the Justin Timberlake Super Bowl scandal, her relationship with brother Michael Jackson, and conspiracies around her ‘secret baby.’
The sister of the Thriller hitmaker will release her documentary in the UK on January 31, and it has already aired in the US.

The career-spanning documentary – which the artist co-produced with Randy Jackson – aired over two nights on A&E and Lifetime in the US.
UK fans will be pleased to learn that Janet will be coming to Sky Documentaries and streaming service NOW in the UK.
You can sign up for Sky, or subscribe for a NOW Entertainment Pass for £9.99 per month, which offers a week-long free trial for first-time subscribers.
The doc will air on Sky Documentaries as two double bills over consecutive nights from Monday.
All four episodes will also be available to watch in the UK on NOW from the same date.

What to expect in Janet Jackson’s documentary
Janet will surely make for dramatic and insightful viewing.
As well as setting the record straight on rumours and fan theories, the extended promo for the series shows the documentary will feature A-list appearances from Mariah Carey, Missy Elliot, Janelle Monae, Teyana Taylor, Tyler Perry, Samuel L Jackson and more.
One area the series will delve into is Janet’s ‘secret baby’ with James DeBarge, as the singer shuts down conspiracies that she secretly gave birth in the 1980s while married to first husband James DeBarge.

‘Back in the day they were saying that I had a child and I kept it secret,’ said Janet during an interview in the special.
‘I could never keep a child away from James. How could I keep a child from their father? I could never do that, that’s not right,’ she added.
Of course, the infamous Justin Timberlake incident will make an appearance, and fans might be surprised to discover that the singers are still friends despite what happened.
While many are still furious with Justin Timberlake over his part in the 2004 Super Bowl halftime show scandal, where he tore off part of Janet’s corset and bra to expose her nipple, Janet isn’t holding any grudges.

Sharing her perspective of the scandal, Janet said in the documentary that the situation ‘was blown way out of proportion.’
As well, brother Michael is mentioned, as the doc discusses how Janet lost a Coca-Cola endorsement amid his sexual abuse allegations, and how their relationship wasn’t always rosy since tension boiled between them when they worked on their hit Scream in 1995.
