Major Accusations Levelled Amidst Lewis Hamilton’s Silence: “Lot of Influence as the Greatest of All”

Lewis Hamilton has not been active since losing the world championship in the season finale in December. The Mercedes driver lost the championship in a dramatic fashion because of a controversial decision made by the race director. Jeroen Bleekemolen mentions that Lewis’s silence is a political move on his part.

There has been an outcry from the Hamilton fans to sack the current race director Michael Masi. But despite the Mercedes team’s protest to overturn the decision, Max Verstappen was crowned world champion at the end of the season. Although Hamilton has not spoken to the media since many people have claimed that the seven-time world champion might retire due to the result.

Lewis Hamilton wants to turn it upside down: Jeroen Bleekemolen

As reported by GPBlog, the Dutch driver claimed that the Mercedes driver is trying to influence some decisions by remaining silent. He also mentioned that the British driver needs to put setbacks aside and move on.

“I think he wants to get some people out of there, like race director Michael Masi. Lewis wants to turn it upside down and he can do that. He has a lot of influence as ‘the greatest of all. At some point, you have to put setbacks aside. That suits a great champion.” said Bleekemolen.

It is certainly an interesting take on Lewis’s silence. But it is hard to see if his silence could lead to Michael Massey losing his job. But the events at Abu Dhabi have left a sour taste for every F1 fan.

Many reports have claimed that Hamilton might take his decision to continue in the sport after the results of the investigation into the season finale. But FI will announce the results at the first race of the 2022 season. So it is still unclear whether or not Hamilton will race next season.
