Ronda Rousey to Melina: Every Women’s Superstar That Returned at WWE Royal Rumble 2022
There is no greater feeling than seeing the superstars from the past collide with the superstars of today’s superstars. Eventually, the WWE Royal Rumble premium live event does the same for the WWE Universe.
Now, WWE already announced some of the biggest names of the superstars from the past for the Women’s Royal Rumble match. However, there were still some returns that shocked the fans and caught them off guard.
Blast from the past: WWE legend Melina returned
The Royal Rumble match is always filled with twists and turns. The first entrant at the 2022 edition of Royal Rumble was none other than ‘The Boss’ Sasha Banks herself.
However, to everyone’s shock, when three-time WWE Women’s champion Melina entered the number 2. Just like her career, the entrance was grand too, with people rolling out the red carpet for the legend to come out.

Melina took her time before entering the ring and performed her iconic split at the apron. The 42-year-old legend looked as fresh as a daisy when she stood face to face against Sasha Banks.
However, Melina was quickly eliminated by ‘The Boss’ after the duo exchanged some punches back and forth. And just like that Melina got eliminated before the third entrant could make her way out, giving Sasha the advantage.
Cameron is back in action!
Since the elimination of Melina, other WWE legends like Michelle McCool and Kelly Kelly made their way out to the ring. However, WWE announced that these superstars will be there at the Rumble.

Eventually, the former Tough Enough superstar, Cameron made her way out to the ring, shocking the WWE Universe. However, her plan for hanging around longer in the Rumble was hindered by Sonya Deville.
Deville came out early but didn’t join the match right away, and waited for the right moment sitting at the announcer’s desk. However, she quickly sneaked inside the ring as soon as Cameron entered and eliminated the superstar from the past.
WWE Hall of Famer Ivory had something to say
Perhaps, one of the biggest shockers came when former three-time WWE Women’s champion and a Hall of Famer Ivory entered the Rumble at number 18.
Ivory was the superstar from the Attitude Era who put women’s wrestling on the map in WWE. During her entrance tonight, the Hall of Famer had some words to add before entering the ring.

Ivory came out with a mic in her hand and cut a promo while walking.
“It’s been an awful long time, but u can see that nothing has changed. It’s hard for me to look at you girls, what I see is wayward, lost little girls”
While Ivory entered the ring while speaking these words, former NXT Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley quickly put the legend out of the ring, hence ending her comeback.
Alicia Fox entered into the mix!
While the WWE Universe was still getting over with such extravagant surprises, the fans were struck with another blow of nostalgia. The first and only African American Divas Champion in WWE Alicia Fox entered the ring at number 21.

Ronda Rousey is back!!
Perhaps the biggest surprise of the night was the entry of the former WWE Raw Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey. The former champion made her comeback on tonight’s premium live event.
