A WOMAN who was quoted £6,000 to build a walk-in wardrobe saved thousands by using IKEA units, B&Q paint and bespoke mirrors – and the results are incredible.

Marni-Rose, from the UK, took to TikTok and explained how in March 2020, she was originally quoted £6,000 to have built-in wardrobes.

Deciding to take matters into her own hands, the savvy homeowner noted how IKEA came to the rescue and created wardrobes for under £1,000.

She then shared a clip of the plain white wardrobes filled with all of her clothes.

The clever homeowner went on to explain that the doors were from IKEA, but to give them a more chic and modern feel, she then panelled them and gave them a lick of grey paint which she purchased from B&Q.

To complete the look, Marni-Rose then had bespoke mirrors made which she fitted into the panelling.

She ended the video saying “voila – how I saved £5,000 on wardrobes.”

And clever Marni-Rose was quickly inundated with praise from her social media followers.

“You did serious graft and made very decent work! Well done!” enthused one, while a second praised: “Fab job.”

Meanwhile, a third commented: “Looks well good well done,” while a further added: “It creates the illusion that the room looks much bigger and honestly it really does well done.”

Elsewhere, another quipped: “Knowing my luck the mirrors would fall of when I’ve shut the door lol. Good job.”
