While taking to Reddit on Tuesday, one fan shared a throwback photo of Kendall, 26, sporting white jeans and black a Lynyrd Skynyrd band shirt in May 2015.
The shirt in question featured a Confederate flag, which is commonly associated as a symbol of white supremacy.
The model donned a serious expression in the photo, while her eyes with covered with her dark sunglasses.
While the photo was taken nearly seven years ago, KUWTK admitted they’re still upset with Kendall for wearing the controversial flag.
The initial Reddit user shared a photo of Kendall wearing the shirt, writing: “I still can’t believe she wore that shirt…”
CALLED OUT
Others accused the model of being ignorant, with one person commenting: “I would bet Kendall doesn’t even know what that flag is tbh.”

Another agreed, writing: “Young people are oblivious, rich people are oblivious, famous people are oblivious… obviously not ALL of each category but a good amount and she’s got all 3.”
A following person chimed in: “What in the actual f**k.”
While one fan said they “weren’t surprised” that Kendall wore the shirt, another wrote: “I bet she doesn’t even know the meaning behind it. The stylist probably does tho.”
An additional Reddit user added: “She was trying to be cool & wear a band t shirt she probably has no idea about their music. It’s more of a stupid mistake than intentionally hateful. “
A following fan chimed in: “I’m not defending Kendall here but also remember that both her and kylie are very uneducated. they were homeschooled for a big part of their education. not an excuse but it gives context to their stupidity.”
TEQUILA SCANDAL
The resurfaced photo is not the first time Kendall has been called out for being racially insensitive.
The TV personality faced backlash in May 2021 when fans slammed the model for ads promoting her tequila brand, 818.
In the ads, Kendall dressed up in a pair of jeans with stains on them, a cropped white top and an oversized stripped button-up left undone in ads for the new product.
The model also wore a cowboy hat on her back, kept in place with ties around her neck and styled her long, brown hair in two braids.
Throughout the ad photos and commercial, Kendall walked through fields, held a glass of her tequila while smiling, posed with a horse and showed some of the workers in the fields.
One fan slammed her, writing: “Wtf is this commercial. Insulting and offensive @KendallJenner did you not learn from your Pepsi fiasco?”
“Having workers in the fields while you’re on your horse looking down on them as if you own them. Disgusting and tone deaf.”
Another wrote: “Am I the only Mexican that thinks @KendallJenner ‘s acting hella colonizer with her new @818Tequila ad? Very very cultural appropriated vibes with that.”
‘TONE DEAF’ PEPSI AD
Another scandal of Kendall’s took place in 2017, when the model starred in a controversial Pepsi ad.
In the commercial, Kendall handed a can of Pepsi to a police officer in an attempt to end a protest.
Many fans slammed the ad for seemingly making light of the Black Lives Matter movement, while it was dubbed as “tone-deaf.”
Kendall later addressed the controversy during a KUWTK episode.
She said through tears: “I trusted everyone. I trusted the teams.
“But after I saw the reaction and I read what people had to say about it, I most definitely saw what went wrong.
“I was so stuck, and I really didn’t know what to do, that I completely shut down.”
