I work in Morrison’s and these are my top three fail-safe tips to getting the best bargains
WE all love saving on our weekly grocery bill, but now you can pocket the best bargains Morrisons has to offer thanks to these insider tips.
Georgia Lister, from South London, has worked at the supermarket for nearly two years so it’s safe to say she knows a thing or two about how to nab some discounts.

“I love working for Morrisons as my role is very rewarding. I make a lot of donations and give a lot of my time to the local community on behalf of Morrisons” she told Fabulous.
Here, the 23-year-old, who’s currently a “community champion” for Morrisons, shares her top three tips to help you bag a bargain.
Magic boxes
We’d be lying if we said this didn’t sound bonkers, but according to Georgia magic boxes actually exist.
“The Wimbledon store – and I think most others stores – have two magic boxes a day which is filled with loads of fruit and veg,” she revealed.
“It’s only about £4 but worth about £20, so it’s always good if you’re on a budget.”

The boxes can be ordered on the Morrisons website from about 9am daily and contain a range of different items which are going out of date.
To avoid missing out though, Georgia says: “Make sure you have a My Morrisons account where you can buy them through the app, then you’ll get an order number and a time slot to pick up.”
Timing is key
Georgia said: “Always look in the reduced section before picking anything else up as there are always things with a ‘best before’ date rather than use by.”
The best time to hit up your local Morrisons is “around 8pm” Georgia revealed.
“This is when the final reductions are done so everything is down by 75%. I’ve had whole chickens for 50p before, bread for 10p a loaf, and even birthday cakes for 50p.”
Out with the old
Food items aside, you can nab some pretty good bargains in the cosmetic aisle too.
Georgia explained that sometimes Morrisons stops selling certain brands or products, and when they do they slash the prices.
“If we no longer sell them, or our store is not ranged for the products anymore, these tend to get reduced to get rid of them,” she said.
“The cosmetic section is good to look at as they often have things discontinued, so they’ll go low in price. For example, shampoo for 50p, or sometimes lower.”
The same can be said after holidays including Christmas and Easter, and for these you must get there when the store opens in the morning.
