Lewis Hamilton Squanders F1 Retirement Rumors With Comeback Social Media Post

This is a big day for the Lewis Hamilton fans around the world craving for positive news amidst the ever-rising rumors on his F1 retirement. Ever since losing out to Max Verstappen at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix last year, the Briton had been subject to a handful of concerning theories.

Why you might ask? Well, quite unusually, Hamilton decided to hide away from the media altogether, leaving no trace behind over where he was or what he was up to. And then followed Toto Wolff’s claim that the Mercedes prodigy could well announce his retirement from the sport prior to the start of 2022.

This led to a wild roar of grievance from his fans. Then followed similar kinds of comments from other F1 personalities including FIA president, Mohammed Ben Sulayem, and McLaren boss, Zak Brown.

When Wolff pulled out such a claim, it didn’t sound as worrying, but, as more F1 entities began to join forces in the Hamilton retirement theory, fear began to creep its way into the entire racing fraternity.

Lewis Hamilton is back!

After maintaining absolute silence on social media for over two months, Hamilton finally made his return with a cheerful post on Instagram and Twitter. He posted a picture of himself with a caption that left the fans in absolute joy.

I’ve been gone. Now I’m back!” he wrote.

The fact that the post has arrived barely days prior to the launch of the 2022 Mercedes F1 challenger says that Hamilton is not retiring. The Briton is here to win his eighth title, and he isn’t keen on going down without a fight.

Of course, the end of 2021 was a bit awry for Hamilton, but the break could well have managed to get him back on track. Hence, another Max Verstappen-Lewis Hamilton duel awaits the Formula One audience in 2022.

Overall, the long wait is over for the fans! Imagine the sports industry losing legends like Valentino Rossi, Tom Brady, and Hamilton, all in a span of months. Nevertheless, the latter of all has officially squandered the rumors with a simple yet effective post.
