Netflix viewers delighted after streaming service finally edits ‘continue watching’ feature: ‘My life is changed’

Netflix has at last given users the option to remove items from their ‘continue watching’ list manually, which viewers have called ‘long overdue.’
Millions of people across the world subscribe to the streaming service, which is only growing as it adds more original series’ to its selection.
As Netflix only seems to increase in popularity, it’s been confirmed they have added in a change to make the viewing experience easier for viewers.
The streaming service gives those watching the chance to go straight back into TV episodes and movies they’ve been watching, at the exact point they switched off.
However, this means users are often left with a stream of shows they’ve given up with or no longer want to tune into, in the ‘continue watching’ list, which each subscriber has.
Netflix has now given the power back to fans, with the option to manually remove programmes and films from this list.

Previously, programmes would remain in this section of the interface, with no way of getting rid of them.
So the new feature has come as a pleasant surprise to fans, who quickly commented on it on social media.
One wrote: ‘A button to “remove from continue watching” has just appeared on my Netflix, and I swear my life is changed forever.’
‘Netflix giving you the option to remove shows from continue watching has cheered me up immensely. Even if it is 7 years late,’ shared a fan.
Another user joked: ‘The future may be uncertain, and the end always near, but focus on the positive. Netflix has now added the option to remove shows and movies from your continue watching list.’
‘Omg Netflix has a remove from continue watching button now,’ remarked someone else.

The streaming service first rolled out the feature with some Android users and has gradually continued to let more viewers access since.
It is now available to all subscribers.
