Paul Heyman Reveals His Sinister Reasons to Turn on Brock Lesnar at WWE Royal Rumble: “He Looks Like a Damn Fool Anyway”
The Special Counsel to the Tribal Chief, Paul Heyman, returned in his usual role after turning on Brock Lesnar at the 2022 Royal Rumble.
Paul Heyman shocked everybody after he sided with Roman Reigns during the WWE Championship match at Royal Rumble.
After Reigns hit Lesnar with a spear, Heyman handed over the WWE Championship to Reigns, who would then hit Lesnar with it, resulting in Lesnar’s defeat to Bobby Lashley.
During the opening segment on tonight’s episode of WWE SmackDown, Heyman said, “There was no plot, there was no scenario, this was not done to make Brock Lesnar look foolish though he looks like a damn fool now, anyway.”
He acknowledged he made the biggest mistake of his entire career by telling Roman Reigns that he needed to be protected from Brock Lesnar.
Further, the Special Counsel to the Tribal Chief admitted he screwed up by doing so, but after Reigns attacked Lesnar at the Royal Rumble, he understood he does not need to protect Reigns from Lesnar.
Heyman said, “Roman Reigns came into the ring at Royal Rumble and smashed Brock Lesnar. And at that moment, I understood I don’t need to protect Roman Reigns from Brock Lesnar. I needed to protect Brock Lesnar from Roman Reigns.”
Brock Lesnar is all set to challenge Roman Reigns for the WWE Universal Championship at WrestleMania 38. But for that to happen, Reigns has to defend the title against Goldberg at the 2022 Elimination Chamber Premium Live Event.

Goldberg returns to WWE to challenge Roman Reigns on WWE SmackDown
WWE Hall of Famer Goldberg surprised the WWE Universe by appearing on tonight’s episode of WWE SmackDown. Goldberg interrupted a segment involving ‘The Bloodline’ and came out to send a warning to Roman Reigns.
The former WWE Universal Champion announced the Tribal Chief to be his next victim. He challenged Reigns for the WWE Universal Championship at the 2022 Elimination Chamber Premium Live Event.
Goldberg said, “Roman Reigns, I acknowledge you as my next victim. You, me, Elimination Chamber for the Universal Championship.”
This will be Goldberg’s last match in WWE according to his current WWE deal. But the WWE Universe will certainly love to see more of the WWE Hall of Famer.
