WWE Legend Recalls Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson Being Extremely Mad at Triple H After Raw: “This Guy is Out There Going Into Business for Himself”

The Rock and Triple H are WWE legends and have had impressive wrestling careers. However, when we look at the trajectory of Triple H’s and The Rock’s career in the WWE, they wouldn’t be who they are without each other. The duo defined the WWE’s Attitude Era with their feud.

The relationship between Hunter and Dwayne Johnson was born out of spite and jealousy. However, they have bonded over time and the duo shares a cordial relationship now. The Rock entered the wrestling business at Survivor series 1996.

Meanwhile, The Game made his jump to WWE from WCW in 1995 after his contract expired.

Hunter going off-script, The Rock sticking to the script

As a result, the two saw each other on equal footing at the start of 1997. Then, unfortunately, the bad blood began between the two.

On the Supercut episode on AdFreeShows, Bruce Prichard revealed that Triple H and The Rock went off script during the programming. WWE Official, Vince Russo, used to write scripts for everybody. However, producer Bruce recollected that while The Rock stuck to the script, Hunter sometimes went off-script.

“Well, Hunter would go out, and they are live, and Hunter would go off-script. Rock would try to bring it back, you know, to what was written,” he said. During the same time, D-Generation X also started a feud with The Nation.

Bruce Prichard also stated that The Brahma Bull used to come backstage after the matches and scream at him. “Hey, you know I’m out there, I’m doing my job, I’m doing what’s written on the paper, and this guy is out there going into business for himself,” Prichard added.

The animosity between Johnson and The Game was genuine. However, due to their animosity, they were involved in an epic feud that was loved by the WWE universe.
