Brad Keselowski’s Brother Shares Heartbreaking News About Their Shop with 50 Years of Racing Legacy in Danger

Ahead of the first race of the NASCAR Cup season, there is a spot of sad news for Brad Keselowski and his family. According to his brother, Brian, his family race shop will soon be closed down and sold off. This news comes a couple of months after their father, Bob, passed away.

Brian said, “Unfortunately the time has come to disassemble the race shop and sell it off. Contacted an auction company to come look at things on Tuesday and see what happens from there. Dad would absolutely hate this, but it has to be done. If anyone has need for racing equipment, contact me.”

What is happening in the Brad Keselowski household?

Brian confirmed that if the paraphernalia were not sold soon, they will be forced to throw them away. He confessed that it was a crying shame that 50 years of winning races could soon be thrown away. It is also worth mentioning that none of the trophies will be sold, but a few of them were in really bad shape.

On a slightly positive note, there is no way on God’s earth that Bob’s old Dodge race car will be sold. Brian confirmed that the car is being shifted to brother Brad Keselowski’s own shop. In all honesty, it must be hard for the Keselowski family to part with the few vestiges of their patriarch’s memory. Unfortunately, the economy can be cruel sometimes and it can hit just about anyone, unexpectedly.

For now, Brian Keselowski will be hoping that the process goes smoothly. Meanwhile, Brad Keselowski is preparing for the first Cup Series season in the Next Gen era. This time around, the Michigan native is racing for the Roush Fenway Keselowski Racing team. It will be interesting to see how he performs in a new environment.
