Brit Awards 2022: Maya Jama squirms as she’s grilled on engagement ring after Ben Simmons proposal

Maya Jama finally addressed her engagement to Ben Simmons at the Brit Awards, but the presenter is still somewhat keeping everyone in the dark.
The TV star co-hosted the Brits 2022 with comedian Mo Gilligan, who pretty much asked the question everyone’s been thinking about her engagement ring.
‘I can’t have you here without talking about that amazing rock on your finger,’ Mo pressed as an awkward Maya hid her left hand behind her back.
He then quipped: ‘Listen, that is the price of a small bedroom studio flat in London.’
Maya continued to squirm and said while laughing: ‘Alright, let’s move on.’
The 27-year-old presenter is believed to have got engaged to the NBA player over Christmas when he proposed in the US where he lives after seven months of dating.

A source told The Sun that Ben ‘chose the ring himself and felt he knew exactly what she would want. Maya said yes and they’re both thrilled’.
They added: ‘Ben was so excited, but they’ve decided to keep the news low-key and tell only those closest to them.
‘Maya flew to New Jersey to spend Christmas with him and is still there now.’
The couple appeared to celebrate the news with close friends and family with a festive party and are clearly keen on keeping the news private.

They confirmed their romance when they attended Wimbledon together during the summer, putting on a PDA-filled display.
Sitting in the stands alongside other A-listers, the lovebirds looked smitten as they cuddled before sharing a smooch cementing their romance.
The Brit Awards 2022 aired live on ITV and will be available to watch on the ITV Hub.
