Where is No Return set?
No Return follows the Powell family who can’t wait to go on holiday and have booked an all-inclusive luxury break in Turkey to enjoy the sun and sea.
However, Kathy (Sheridan Smith) and Martin (Michael Jibson), their son Noah and younger daughter Jessica are blissfully unaware of the horrific ordeal about to unfold.
Things take a shocking turn when teenager Noah accepts a seemingly innocent invitation to a beach party and then finds himself in jail on a sex assault charge.
Although the show is set in a Turkish resort, the exact location is not revealed.
Where was No Return filmed?
Although it is set in Turkey, the series was actually filmed in Spain.
Series creator Danny Brocklehurst explained in an interview why Spain was chosen as a filming location instead of Turkey.

He told ITV: “It would have been too complicated to shoot in Turkey, including the problems of the pandemic.
“The area of Spain we have chosen looks like Turkey anyway. All you need to do is change the signage.”
Benalmadena
The few scenes at the beginning of epsiode one in which the Powells are actually enjoying their trip were filmed at a resort in Benalmadena.
This town can be found in the Costa del Sol.
It has been reported that production had to carefully work around actual holidaymakers.
Malaga
The production team also filmed in Malaga.
The town was used for exterior shots for the prison where Noah was held while the allegations against him are investigated.
Actor Michael Jibson told Radio Times: “I thought Malaga was going to be this Benidorm type place with high rises.
“But it’s actually a very beautiful historic Spanish city on the coast with one of the most incredible cathedrals I’ve ever seen surrounded by some beautiful Spanish architecture.”
UK
For the interior shots of the prison, the No Return team actually filmed in the UK.
Sets were constructed in Bolton and Manchester city centre, while Liverpool Airport can be spotted as the Powells prepare to jet off.
Actor Michael also revealed that some parts of the hotel where the Powell family are guests were actually constructed inside Bolton’s now-closed British Home Stores.
When is No Return next on TV?
