WEST HAM beat Watford in a Premier League victory overshadowed by the cat shame of defender Kurt Zouma.

The Hammers star is currently embroiled in an animal cruelty storm after footage emerged of him KICKING and SLAPPING his pet cat.

He was controversially given the nod to start against the Hornets by Hammers boss David Moyes.

And he played the full 90 minutes as his Irons team-mates wrapped up a 1-0 win at London Stadium amid a volley of booing and angry chants.

Jarrod Bowen ensured all three points for the hosts with his strike on 68 minutes.

Victory sends the Irons up to fourth and a Champions League qualifying spot, with Manchester United drawing at Burnley.
