BALAMORY may have ended 16 years ago, but it is still treasured today in the minds of its fans.
The legendary CBeebies series, set in a fictional Scottish village, saw happy-go-lucky characters like Miss Hoolie and Suzie Sweet being favourites with young viewers.

Another fan favourite can in the shape and size of wacky inventor Archie, who lived in the huge pink castle and wore a purple kilt.
He starred in the show from 2002 – 2005, appearing in 74 episodes.
So what’s the story for the curly-haired Scot these days?
Archie was played by comedian Miles Jupp who has enjoyed regular TV appearances elsewhere in The Thick of It, Outnumbered, Netflix‘s The Crown, and Michael McIntyre‘s Comedy Roadshow.
He also played the weatherman in Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix and his other movie credits include The Legend of Tarzan, Sherlock Holmes, Johnny English Reborn.
Miles, now 42, previously revealed he was forced to cut rude gags from his Edinburgh Festival stand-up performance after seeing young Balamory fans in the audience.
“I went on stage and there were ten children in the front row – nightmare,” he told The Guardian.
“The show was only 40 minutes long and I had to keep cutting huge chunks of filth.”
Miles is currently living in Monmouthshire, Wales, after moving there with his family his wife and five children.

Speaking on his decision to move from London, the 41-year-old said: “The children are at a really nice school now but we do find ourselves missing Peckham.
“It was really mixed and fun, just some really interesting parents at the school.
“As indeed there are where we are now, but it was much more mixed. That was really good for the children, to have a less cosseted upbringing than I did.”
