Adidas sparks debate as they post 25 photos of topless women’s breasts as part of their latest sports bra campaign

ADIDAS has divided opinion with part of their new ad campaign for sports bras, which features the bare breasts of 25 women.

The company shared the advert on its Twitter on Wednesday afternoon and immediately garnered a lot of attention.

AdidasSome said the image of bare breasts belonged on “page 3”[/caption]

The company captioned the image: “We believe women’s breasts in all shapes and sizes deserve support and comfort.

“Which is why our new sports bra range contains 43 styles, so everyone can find the right fit for them.”

The company used the photo to promote its new bra collection and used the hashtag #SupportIsEverything.

While some thought the ad was a move in the right direction for body positivity, others interpreted the image as explicit.

One critical viewer wrote: “Shouldn’t it at least show how their “body-positive” bras support all different kinds of boobies?

“Or is this just another shock ad designed only to generate revenue by using women’s bodies? Exhausting.”

@adidas what the hell?! Leave something to the imagination”, said another.

“I’m all for boobies and positivity but like…what are they selling?” they wrote.

Another commented: “This isn’t page 3 hun.”

The official Playboy Twitter account thought the post was brilliant, and said: “This is the breast ever!”

And many others supported the bold advertisement, viewing it as a move towards body positivity.

One commenter wrote: “My wife is one of the women who volunteered to be photographed for this new Adidas campaign.

“At first I was very uncomfortable with it but my wife & her sisters sat me down & taught me the importance of body positivity & female autonomy. I now understand & support Adidas.”

Another Twitter user said the advertisement “excites [her] so much”.
