I’m a nail tech, this is why you should NEVER use your phone or slouch in your chair during an appointment
DO you check your phone when you’re having your nails done?
Then you’re committing one of the biggest nail cardinal sins – according to one nail technician.
TikTok/@studiobarinailsNail technician Bari revealed a list of the biggest nail cardinal sins on her TikTok page[/caption]
Bari – the owner of Studio Bari Nails in New York – took to TikTok to share a video explaining “how to be a good nail client”.
And right at the top of the list is to “put the phones down”.
“Most of us are on a strict time crunch so we really need to stick to the game plan,” she added.
“Pay attention to what we’re doing and ask questions if you want! We can talk nails all day.”
When it comes to what you wear to your nail appointment, most things are fine – apart from fuzzy sweaters.
In a comment on the video, Bari explained that the “fuzzy sweater could shed and wind up leaving fuzzies in your manicure”.

Concluding her list, Bari wrote: “Don’t slouch back in your chair/sit sideways.
“We need your hands close, our backs are bad enough from the position we sit in all day.”
And while some people were happy to take the advice on board for their next appointment, others were less willing to oblige.

“I like my phone though it’s like my time,” one person argued.
To which Bari replied: “If you’re not paying attention to what’s going on your hand could be laying in a position to make it harder to work on.”
Another nail tech praised Bari for her video, writing: “Yes! Sometimes I will literally be laying over the table to reach their nails after asking about 5 times to bring their hand closer!”
“Isn’t it exhausting asking after the THIRD TIME?” Bari answered.
Speaking of nails, this woman claims she can do just about everything with her super-long nails.
This lady wanted pink French nails, but air bubbles were the first sign of things going wrong.
