Musk has accumulated fans and haters alike for his array of investments in privatized space travel, cryptocurrency, and modern infrastructure.

Where did Elon Musk go to college?
Musk attended high school in South Africa but enrolled at the University of Pennsylvania in 1992 as a transfer student.
He double-majored in economics and physics.
Musk began his postgraduate studies at Stanford University but dropped out almost immediately.
The richest man in the world has since come out as openly anti-establishment education.
Reporting by The Guardian quoted Musk as saying “you can learn anything you want for free”.

Tesla was founded in 2003 as Tesla Motors, Inc by Martin Eberhard and Marc Tarpenning.
Musk had recently divested from PayPal to the tune of a $100million dollar payday.
Musk invested some of his earnings into Tesla and became the largest individual shareholder.
In the years since, Musk has served as the CEO of Tesla and founded SpaceX.
Considered a visionary by some and a hack by others, Musk’s Tesla vehicles are some of the sleekest on the road.
But it has not been all smooth, automated sailing.
At the end of 2021, Tesla announced that they would be voluntarily recalling almost 500,000 vehicles.
In January 2022, Musk was embroiled in a public relations spat with a 19-year-old who set up an automated Twitter account that tracked Musk’s private jet and posted his whereabouts.
Musk offered the teen a paltry $5,000–the equivalent of someone with a net worth of $100k paying $0.02–to take the account down.

What is Tesla’s stock price?
Tesla went public in 2012 with an Initial Public Offering of $17 a share.
On February 10, 2022, Tesla was trading at roughly $912 a share.
A $1,000 investment in Tesla on the day they went public would be worth roughly $53,000 in unrealized gains today.
Tesla broke quadruple digits briefly towards the end of 2021, apexing at $1,222 a share at the close of business on November 5, 2021.
Musk owns approximately 175million Tesla shares for a value of $159billion.
Musk is said to have been the inspiration for Robert Downey Jr’s Iron Man and made a cameo appearance in the second film.
