Tanya Bardsley has admitted she tries to have sex with her husband every day to make sure he doesn’t look elsewhere.
The Real Housewives of Cheshire star can’t get enough of her man – footballer Phil Bardsley, with whom she has sons Rocco, 12, Renz, eight, and Ralphi, five – admitted a full house means finding some alone time can be tough, but they make sure to get in their daily, er, exercise.
She told Closer magazine: ‘I still really fancy Phil and find him attractive, even more than I did when we met. It’s probably because I’ve trained him up…
‘My mum has always said to be, “Look after your man – otherwise another woman will’. It’s just like watering a garden – it doesn’t take long and you have to maintain it.’
We’re not sure ‘watering a garden’ is the most romantic analogy – but either way, Tanya insisted her daily routine works for her.
‘Some people don’t have it regularly and that’s fine, there’s no right or wrong, but to me if you’re not having sex, then it would feel like the friend zone,’ she added. ‘I’d be worried if I wasn’t having sex all the time!’

The 40-year-old star – who also has 19-year-old daughter Gaby from a past relationship – admitted sometimes she and her husband have to just find ‘two minutes’ to themselves whenever and wherever they can.
‘It can be hard with the kids around, even if they catch us giving each other a kiss, they’ll go, “Urgh!” My youngest boy insists on sleeping on your bedroom floor even though he’s got his own room, and that can sometimes be a hindrance,’ she said.

‘We still manage it every day, even if we’re hiding somewhere in the house! It only lasts two minutes so it’s not that much of an effort.
‘We just have to grab it when we can, like, “Quick, quick, quick!” We’re quite lucky we have a house that has four floors so it’s easier to get away and we’ve got places to escape to. Like the bog!’
Tanya quit Real Housewives in November 2021 after six years on the show, having battled health and anxiety away from the cameras.
