Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson Pays Heartfelt Tribute to His Father Rocky Johnson and WWE Legend to Celebrate Black History Month

Dwayne Johnson aka The Rock fondly remembered his father, Rocky Johnson, and uncle, Tonga Fifita, to celebrate their legacy.

An old photograph of Rocky Johnson and and King Haku emerged on social media, and Johnson explained the history behind the photograph. The photograph is from the time when Rocky Johnson was wrestling in high school, and decades have passed since then!

The Late Rocky Johnson has paved an incredible path for The Rock and many others who continue to carry forward the Samoan Wrestling Legacy.

Additionally, The Rock and WWE worked together to celebrate Rocky Johnson with a video showcasing his legacy while Dwayne Johnson narrated the story.

The Rock plays a key role in the Samoan Wrestling Legacy

Dwayne Johnson’s father Rocky Johnson and grandfather High Chief Peter Maivia worked hard to put their family on the WWE map. However, The Rock took it to another level when he became The Most Electrifying Man in all of WWE.

Initially, he started with the name Rocky Maivia which didn’t take off. But, he returned as The Rock and took over WWE like a storm.

He was a key Superstar during The Attitude Era. He worked alongside the big names of WWE to make the product a success. To this day, he is widely known with his WWE in-ring name.

Now, Superstars such as his cousins and extended family members Roman Reigns, The Usos, Naomi, and others are pushing forward The Legacy in WWE. In fact, it is popularly believed that The Rock should return against Roman Reigns, and the duo agree!

Simone Johnson is preparing for WWE NXT debut

Now, it may be a while before The Rock comes back to WWE, but the legacy must keep moving forward.

His daughter, Simone Johnson, has already started working with WWE in the Performance Center. She teased her NXT debut, but hasn’t yet made her NXT debut.

Everyone is awaiting her official in-ring debut and watch how the next generation’s rise to the top unfolds in front of their eyes.
