Kurt Zouma: RSPCA REFUTES West Ham’s claims it is giving player animal cruelty lessons and he may still face charges
THE RSPCA says it has “no plans” to give disgraced footballer Kurt Zouma an animal welfare course.
The charity also saidthat it had “not accepted or been offered a donation” in the wake of The Sun’s circulation of footage of the centre back booting his cat around his kitchen.

In a statement, a spokesperson confirmed “there have been no plans made for animal welfare courses to be undertaken”.
It had been reported that Zouma’s Premier League club, West Ham, planned to donate two-weeks of the players wages to animal chariites, and that the 27-year-old would undertake a course on how to properly treat animals.
But bosses for the animal charity – who in 2020 helped to rehome more than 3,000 animals – today issued guidance to news outlets, advising that they had not been made aware of the prospect of any donation.
A spokesperson said: “Two cats are in our care, have been seen by a vet and are being well looked after.
“They will remain in our care while the investigation continues and are not available for rehoming although we have lots of beautiful cats who are looking for new homes: www.rspca.org.uk/findapet.
“We understand the high level of interest in this incident and can reassure you that our experienced officers are carrying out a full and thorough investigation.
“Due to the fact that this is a live investigation, we are limited in what we can say, however we will provide updates when we are able.”
