Gemma Collins has revealed a past bout of coronavirus has left her feeling intermittently ‘awful’ and ‘exhausted’ some days, and fine the next.
The former Towie star, 41, revealed she was having a vitamin drip to help combat the tiredness she has been feeling since she contracted Covid-19.
Sharing a video of her having the IV line fitted in her arm, Gemma told her followers: ‘So guys, today I am poorly. Since having Covid it’s really weird, it’s like I have these days where I literally can’t do a thing.
‘I don’t know if anyone else is experiencing this, but it is just so weird.’
Gemma then shared a photo of the drip going into her arm as she wrote: ‘Covid defo makes you feel weird after.’
She then took a selfie, adding: ‘Exhausting effects after Covid one day you feel fine another just awful.’

Gemma also asked her nurse, Nena, about why people feel ok some days after having recovered from Covid, and can suffer from exhaustion or other side effects the next.
Nena told her: ‘Hopefully it will help your inflammation and give you a bit more energy,’ to which Gemma asked: ‘Why is it that one day you can be completely fine and you’ve got loads of energy, then boom, you’ve got no energy? Why is it one day you’re alright and then you’re not?’
The nurse told her that it effects everyone differently but a common side effect is reduced energy levels after having had Covid.

Gemma previously told her followers that she had almost lost her dad to coronavirus over Christmas 2020, though thankfully he pulled through after spending several weeks in hospital.
She revealed to Metro.co.uk in December: ‘Sadly, it was very traumatic for me last year because my dad nearly died due to Covid. The fact that he’s here this year means I’m not going to leave his side, so I’ve had a Christmas tree put up in every room in my house.’
Gemma added: ‘It’s been very tough. I still have moments, especially this time of year where it’s Christmas again and it does take me back to how it was last year. It was very, very traumatic.

‘So one minute, I’m walking around the shops and the next minute, I’m sitting there blubbering! It’s just so overwhelming remembering what happened last year.’
Recalling the difficult time, she admitted: ‘I’ll never forget seeing him breathing on them masks. The other day I was flicking through my phone and I saw a picture of him with the mask on and I just had to quickly flick through it. I’m just not ready to deal with it yet.’
