Asked whether Liverpool should have won more trophies under Klopp, Alexander-Arnold said: “We don’t feel disappointed we haven’t won enough trophies because we feel the ones we have won are the biggest and the best.
“And although I am not making any digs, you look at Man City’s amazing team and they haven’t been able to win the Champions League and we have won both but there is an expectation now as a team and players to win trophies.
“I am looking to win more trophies and excited to see what happens between February and May.”
The last domestic trophy Liverpool won was the EFL Cup in 2012 – and they face Chelsea in the final of the same competition on Sunday week.
Blues’ midfielder Mason Mount is struggling to be fit for that clash
The England star hurt his right ankle in Saturday’s Club World Cup final win over Palmeiras.
The 23-year-old asked to go off after 31 minutes and left the stadium on crutches.
Mount was later pictured hobbling with heavy strapping on his foot.
