What is the Picasso sound on TikTok?

TIKTOK trends – they come and they go.

Here’s a closer look as to why “Picasso” has taken over the internet in 2022.

TikTok is a popular video sharing app

What is the Picasso sound on TikTok?

The Picasso sound on TikTok came from a video showing a person approaching a car wrapped in what appears to be tin foil.

He says, “What’s this?” and the person next to the car responds, “it’s an art project.”

The user, @itsreefa, then says: “Okay, I like it. Picasso.”

In the video, the person next to the car is dressed in an avant-garde style: they’re wearing a purple dress shaped like a Slinky toy, a green glove, and an orange wig.

Since it was first posted in January of 2022, the Picasso sound has been featured in thousands of videos.

First released in 2016, TikTok is a video-focused social media service.

Videos on the app can be any length between 15 seconds and three minutes, and cover a wide variety of topics – dances, pranks, lifestyle content, tutorials.

With over one billion users on the app, TiKTok remains wildly popular and is available in 40 languages.

Who uses TikTok?

Over 41 percent of TikTok users are between the ages of 16 and 24.

According to a study, over 90 percent of these users engage with the app on a daily basis.

In October of 2020, TikTok was added to the ecommerce platform, Shopify.

This addition allows online merchants to sell products directly via TikTok.
