Big change coming to Disney World from tomorrow for vaccinated Brits

DISNEY World is scrapping the requirement for vaccinated people to wear masks from tomorrow.

Unvaccinated Brits must continue to wear face masks in all indoors areas of the theme park.

However, masks will still be required in some places, including on all enclosed Disney transportations, regardless of vaccination status.

The requirement for people to wear masks outside was scrapped last year, so vaccinated Brits now only need to wear masks on Disney transport.

The change will reverse a policy that was introduced in July 2021, and comes as a boost to Brits with plans to visit.

In a statement on the Disney World website, it said: “Beginning February 17, 2022, face coverings will be optional for fully vaccinated guests in both outdoor and indoor locations.

“We expect guests who are not fully vaccinated to continue wearing face coverings in all indoor locations, including indoor attractions and theatres.

“Face coverings will still be required by all guests (ages two and up) on enclosed Disney transportation, including Disney buses, monorails and Disney skyliner.”

Disney World is not the only holiday destination to scrap mandatory face masks in the last week.

Universal Orlando has already lifted their mandatory masks for vaccinated guests while indoors and outdoors at the theme park.

Spain also ditched the requirement on Thursday, meaning visitors no longer need to wear masks at beaches, on the promenade and at swimming pools.

It’s more good news for Brits with plans to head abroad, as the UK scrapped the requirement for people to take a Covid test when they return home after a holiday.

The change means there are now 41 countries that Brits can visit without needing to take a single Covid test.
