What is the average Uber rating?

The average rating for Uber riders is 4.89 out of 5.

Ratings are done anonymously and drivers base them on a variety of factors.

For example, if you keep a driver waiting at the pick-up spot for a while, they might rate you down, as this might have prevented them from taking another passenger.

Another thing drivers look out for is safety – theirs and their passengers.

So not wearing a seatbelt and a face mask might lose you some stars.

Not turning up to your ride is also a no-go, and will probably cost you your stellar rating.

How to improve your overall rating?

The ride-sharing company shared some tips with riders on how they can improve their overall rating, which is the average score of their last 500 trips.

Being at the pick-up spot in advance and buckling your seatbelt are unsurprisingly on top of the list.

Make sure to keep the car clean and avoid eating and drinking, unless you obtain the driver’s permission.

And of course, be friendly and polite – this will leave a good impression and ensure you get the best possible rating.
