But one mum has discovered one downside of having an unusual moniker – having to explain it every time.

Mum Aryn took to TikTok to reveal she’d decided to call her son Tidal Brave, but people often mistake the name for “Title”.

“When I tell people my baby’s name is Tidal,” she began her video.

“Them: T I T L E?

“No, Tidal like a wave,” she answered, as she held her little boy.

She captioned the clip: “I honestly never thought this would be a problem while pregnant.”

In comments on the video, the majority of people were complimentary about the name, while one person asked what had inspired it.

“Why did you choose that name? (A real question.) does it have a significant meaning for you?” they wrote.

To which Aryn replied: “I’ve always loved the ocean and I just love that name! His middle name is Brave.”

Speaking of unique baby names, this woman chose one for her daughter, and she’s had to endure a LOT of teasing.

This mum insists she loves her son’s unique name, but people say they feel sorry for him.
