The hit Prime Video series from Gilmore Girls creator Amy Sherman-Palladino has just returned for a season 4 – but who is new to the cast?
The comedy-drama has been running since 2017 and stars Rachel Brosnahan as the titular Miriam ‘Midge’ Maisel, a young, Jewish American housewife living on the Upper West Side of Manhattan
She discovers she has a knack for stand-up comedy and looks to pursue a career in it.
It follows the story of Midge in the late 1950s and early 1960s, as she navigates her exciting new challenge.
The fourth season of the programme premiered on Amazon Prime on Friday, February 18, with two episodes set to be released each week.
Here’s everything you need to know about the cast of season four.
Who is new to the cast of Marvelous Mrs Maisel season 4?
This Is Us actor Milo Ventimiglia has been confirmed to feature as a guest star – according to TV Line.
Deadline also reported that Jackie Hoffman and Allison Guinn would be joining the cast to perform recurring roles.

Brosnahan will of course be back as Miriam, with creator Sherman-Palladino previously teasing a positive future for the comedian.
She said to TV Line: ‘Midge has a journey she has to take. It’s the struggle that is fun [as opposed to] “I’m sitting in a penthouse and I’m really rich and I’ve got a lot of chihuahuas.”
‘We know emotionally where we want to end her and at what point we want to cut it off, we just don’t know how many episodes it’s going to take to get there.’
Brosnahan made her film debut in the horror film The Unborn in 2009 and has subsequently appeared in films including Beautiful Creatures, Louder Than Bombs, The Finest Hours, and Patriots Day.
Tony Shalhoub as Abe Weissman

Shalhoub stars as Jewish-American math professor Abe Weissman, who is the father of protagonist Midge.
He is also known for his roles as Adrian Monk in the USA Network television series Monk, Antonio Scarpacci in the NBC sitcom Wings.
Marin Hinkle as Rose Weissman
Hinkle plays Midge’s mother Rose in the comedy drama.
She was nominated for the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series in 2019 and 2020 for The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel.
Away from her role in the Amazon show, she is best known for playing Judy Brooks on the ABC television drama Once and Again and Judith Harper-Melnick on the CBS sitcom Two and a Half Men.
Alex Borstein as Susie Myerson
Borstein plays Susie Myerson, who is an employee of The Gaslight Cafe and Midge’s manager.
She has also come up trumps with awards for her performance, which has earned her two Primetime Emmy Awards.
The actress is best known for voicing Lois Griffin on the animated comedy television series Family Guy and has had supporting roles in the Lizzie McGuire Movie, Ted and ParaNorman.
Kevin Pollak as Moishe Maisel
Kevin Pollak appears as Midge’s father-in-law Moishe and is the father of her estranged husband Joel (Michel Zegen)
Moishe is also the owner of Maisel and Roth Garment Company.
Pollak has also recently starred in Billions as Douglas Mason, as well as Impeachment: American Crime Story as Bernie Nussbaum.
Caroline Aaron as Shirley Maisel
Caroline Aaron stars as Midge’s mother-in-law Shirley Maisel.
The actress has also appeared in 21 Jump Street and its sequel 22 Jump Street, as well as having numerous other TV and film credentials to her name.
How many episodes will there be in season 4?
There will be eight episodes in total which will form the show’s fourth season.
The first two episodes were released today, with two to be released Friday.
The final episodes will drop on Amazon Prime on March 11, airing as another double-bill.
Will there be a season 5?
Yes, there will be a season five, which is currently filming in New York.
It was confirmed before season four even landed on the streaming service.
However, the upcoming season has been confirmed to be the final one, with Jennifer Salk, head of Amazon Studios saying: ‘Amy, Dan, and The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel have blazed an unparalleled path, elevating the stories we tell about women, challenging the norms in our industry, and forever altering the entertainment landscape with their one-of-a-kind storytelling.
