NBA Twitter Goes Berserk After Bulls Guard Beats Wilt Chamberlain’s More Than 60 Year Old Record

After being called the worst signing of the off-season, DeMar DeRozan has proved everyone wrong. The Chicago Bulls guard has gone on a tear. DeRozan is having a career offensive year and has put the Bulls on his back. However, he took things to the next level when he beat the long-standing record of one of NBA’s most dominating forces, Wilt Chamberlain.

Chamberlain was the best player in the NBA during the Bill Russell Celtics era. Notably, he holds one of the most unattainable records in the league, scoring 100 points in a single game. He holds most of the offensive records as he averaged crazy numbers through the season. However, DeRozan pushed off one of his records after going on a crazy scoring streak.

This record-breaking feat had fans going crazy.

DeMar DeRozan makes history in first Bulls season

After acquiring DeRozan, it became evident the Bulls would have a dominating offense. Likewise, the duo of Zach Lavine and DeMar have gone berserk as both even made it as All-Stars this season. However, with Lavine being out in recent games, DeRozan has stepped in big time. And his recent scoring streak left Wilt’s 60-year record in the dirt.

Chamberlain held the record for scoring over 35 points while shooting over 50% for six straight games. With his recent hot streak, DeRozan broke the record and took the tally to 7 games as he finished with 38 points against the Sacramento Kings.

I’ve seen enough. demar Derozan and Michael Jordan are on the same tier. Give Demar prime Pippen and Rodman and he’s likely already have 6 titles if not more because he’s not a gambling addicted degenerate who went and got secretly suspended.

This man broke a Wilt Chamberlain record, MVP him now. https://t.co/kQJfIgLBKF

This record is rather impressive in today’s game as DeRozan is a guard. Wilt dominated in his time using his size and athleticism. However, in this era, the game is much more guard-oriented. And for DeMar, he doesn’t need the three ball to post points on the board. He has mastered the ancient art of mid-range shooting and is giving the oppositions a hard time every single night.

With his game riding compatible with the Bulls’ system, he has elevated this team to a whole new level. He clearly stands in the discussion in the MVP race as he continues to be more dominant as the season goes on. Currently averaging at 28.1 points, 5.2 rebounds and 5.1 assists, DeMar DeRozan is putting the entire league on notice.
