“Too Slow”: Mikaela Shiffrin Makes a Hilariously Bold Prediction About Her Last Match at Beijing Winter Olympics 2022
Today is the last day for Mikaela Shiffrin to win an Olympic medal at this year’s Winter Olympics. Fair to say, she has not had the best competition to date. Firstly, she failed in the slalom and giant slalom competitions then finished 9th and 18th in the downhill and Super-G events. However, after putting in a good training session for the downhill combined, she once again faltered in the slalom event.
The timings posted have been way off the mark and she has lost a considerable amount of pace. Thus, heading to her last event, she took the blink challenge of predicting her last race. The results are hilarious.
Mikaela Shiffrin takes the blink challenge
With her Olympics going down in the drain, she moves to the latest technology, to predict her future. She took up the blink challenge to test her reflexes. In the app, one must blink when the color turns green. As the turn came to Shiffrin, she blinked as the color changed. The results have been symbolic of her Olympic Games- too slow. Other athletes took up this challenge and most of them got slow. However, there might be a case for a Shiffrin during that challenge.
As the app shows her to blink in a fast time, she actually does it rapidly. But, her phone didn’t catch that as she had to blink, yet again, to get the results. Her reaction time to the test is somewhat commendable. Hence, heading to her last competition, she hopes to leave Beijing with a medal around her collar.

The last event to win a medal
The famous skier’s Olympics have been a disaster but the final event will see her teaming up with her American skiers. The mixed team parallel competition will be the last competition for Shiffrin to win a medal. It made its debut at the 2018 Pyeonchang Winter Olympics. Shiffrin will represent team USA along with other skiers like AJ Hurt, Paula Moltzan, Tommy Ford, River Radamus, and Luke Winters.

Winning an Olympic medal would be a dream for anyone. While she was not able to win the singles Olympic medals, Shiffrin can win her third Olympic gold medal as she prepares for her final event at the Beijing Winter Olympics.
