Dancing On Ice star Connor Ball tumbles onto the ice during musical week

THE Vamps’ musician Connor Ball took an embarrassing fall during his performance on Dancing On Ice.

Connor and his partner, Alex, took on one of the most well known and loved musicals Les Miserables.

They started the performance on a high and all seemed like it was going well until Connor fell on his bum, only seconds after the song – Valljean’s Soliloquy – sung about a man falling.

He recovered quickly and got up to pull off an amazing dance but was marked down by the judges.

“It happens every week, it shouldn’t matter,” Oti Mabuse told him after giving him a score of nine.

Ashley Banjo also gave them a nine saying: “I’m gutted… there’s that confident performance. You will get there, just keep trying.”

Former Strictly star Arlene Phillips added: “I felt the emotion and connection between the two of you, this is a hard song to [dance to]. I was completely carried away.”

Fans watching at home noticed the fall, but threw their support behind the muso.

“no but when connor fell my heart just sank because everything was so beautiful otherwise,” wrote one fan on Twitter.

Another added: “Really feel for Connor and Alex this week, even after having a tumble, I still feel it was worth more than an 8! Good luck for next week.”

A third wrote: “I think maybe a bit of lower score considering he fell should have have been given but still fair scores. Poor connor he did really well though bless him.”

And a fourth commented: “connor was amazing regardless!!!”

With the Vamps Connor, 25, has had huge success, with two No1 albums and five top ten singles.

However he hasn’t always found performing easy and in 2018 went onto This Morning to seek from resident therapists, The Speakmans, about his struggle with anxiety.

He also suffered from bad panic attacks – some which left him being hospitalised.

Connor said: “I suffer with generalised anxiety order, panic attacks and depression as well.

“In the band it has affected me because I don’t go to as many things as I would like to or should do. I would like to be going out and seeing more people.”
