McTominay fought through the entire 90 minutes as he scrapped with the Leeds players in the middle of the park.
The stormy weather also made for an incredibly difficult game as the pitch became drenched following a downpour at half-time.
Yet despite the strenuous conditions, McTominay was quick to voice how much he enjoyed the match with a post-game social media post.
Alongside a series of Instagram photos, he added the short caption: “Leeds away – proper game.”
The Red Devils raced into a first half two-goal lead thanks to captain Harry Maguire and Bruno Fernandes.
But their lead quickly evaporated in the second half as Leeds scored two within 60 seconds of each other.

Anthony Elanga and Fred were brought on for Paul Pogba and Jesse Lingard in order to change United’s fortunes. And they did.
Fred finished off a sweeping counter attack to restore United’s lead and strengthen their grip on fourth place.
Elanga then grabbed United’s fourth as he killed off the game.
The win gives United a four-point cushion in their race to finish in the top four of the Premier League as they look to hold off West Ham, Arsenal, Tottenham and Wolves.
