Suns Coach Monty Williams Is Planning an In Game Tribute With LeBron James to Honor Kobe Bryant During NBA All Star Weekend

The NBA All-Star Weekend is one of the most awaited events of the entire year on the NBA calendar. It is extremely entertaining, and celebrities from all over come to watch the show. The Weekend consists of many spectacles such as the three-point competition, slam dunk contest, and the All-Star game.

The three-point competition and the slam dunk have already concluded. Karl-Anthony Towns sealed a shocking win in the three-point contest. On the other hand, Obi Toppin won the dunk contest. However, the most awaited event, the All-Star game, is set to take place tomorrow.

The All-Star game will take place between Team LeBron and Team Durant. Monty Williams will be coaching Team LeBron for the current event. Williams was mic’d up during team LeBron’s practice. During the same, he can be spotted planning a tribute with LeBron James for Kobe Bryant while the game goes on.

Coach said to LeBron, “What I wanted to do is either make 24 or 8 in a row to honor Kobe.” It seems like an exciting tribute to Kobe is underway during the All-Star game.

Kobe Bryant’s legendary career

Kobe Bryant had a shocking and untimely death a few years ago. The news of his death caught everyone by surprise and left every basketball lover in tears. The Black Mamba changed the game forever. The drive and hard work he brought to the sport were unmatched.

Kobe was known for having a killer mentality on the court.  The Mamba lived his mentality by the motto that you have to overwork everyone else silently so you can perform in front of millions.

Bryant was an 18-time All-Star and a 12-time All-Defensive team member. Moreover, he was the Finals MVP twice, and the MVP of the regular season once. Additionally, he was the scoring leader of the league twice. He was most recently given credit with an induction into the NBA 75th Anniversary Team.

Kobe is by far the most influential player to ever wear the purple and gold. His work ethic set him completely apart from his competitors.
