Celebrity MasterChef signs up Lisa Snowdon, Ryan Thomas, Drag Race star and actor Adam Pearson for new series

COOKERY competition Celebrity MasterChef has signed up a whole host of celebrity faces for its upcoming new series.

Radio presenter Lisa Snowdon, Coronation Street star Ryan Thomas and Drag Race icon Kitty Scott-Claus are among the famous faces.

The Sun can exclusively reveal that the latest round of cooking recruits have already filmed for the show’s 16th celebrity series.

Actor and campaigned Adam Pearson, Strictly professional Katya Jones and footballer Jimmy Bullard are among the other stars taking part.

The new line-up is completed by Chuckle Brother’s Paul Chuckle – who will compete without the other half of the comedy duo, brother Barry.

A Masterchef spokesperson declined to comment on “speculation over the celebrity line-up”.

Last year, Celebrity Masterchef welcomed Paralympian and I’m A Celebrity star Kadeena Cox, who was crowned the winner.

She was closely followed by runners-up Towie star turned singer Megan McKenna and TV presenter Joe Swash.

Earlier this week, former ChuckleVision star Paul, 74, revealed he was due to make his TV comeback on the cookery competition.

His appearance on the cooking show will come as no surprise to his fans, as he showed off his culinary skills while in lockdown.

The star mastered cookery as he shared his talents via a YouTube channel throughout the coronavirus lockdowns in 2020 and 2021.

Last year, EastEnders legend Michelle Collins took part in the celebrity competition – a show she admitted she later regretted.

The  soap actress admitted that she was in a “really bad way” before taking part in the cooking competition last August.

Michelle, 59, told fans she felt like she “shouldn’t have” taken part in the show as her late mum Mary was coming to the end of her cancer battle.

The star, who has previously suffered from depression and an eating disorder, has revealed now she’s “stronger” and recognises her mistakes.

“I did Celebrity MasterChef and I was really in a bad way,” Michelle told Notebook in a candid interview about her mental health.

“Mentally, I wasn’t right and I shouldn’t have done it. Then in April, mum died – so last year was not a happy time for me.”

Celebrity Masterchef was last seen on screens over the Christmas period, with Oti Mabuse, Gemma Collins and Joey Essex also taking to the kitchen.
