Eamonn Holmes likes tweets about Phillip Schofield being ‘rude’ and This Morning making a ‘huge mistake’ sacking him

EAMONN Holmes has taken to Twitter to like a tweet calling Phillip Schofield ‘rude’.

The former This Morning presenter, 62, also liked a post saying his previous employers had made a ‘huge mistake’ sacking him from the show.

The first tweet read: “I stopped watching once you and Ruth went from TM.

“I knew someone who worked behind the scenes on TM. She said you were both so lovely

“But Phillip Schofield was rude and had no time for them”.

Another fan wrote on the social media platform: “@ITV made a huge mistake letting you go. We love watching you.”

Eamonn and his wife Ruth Langsford were dropped from their Friday morning slot on the programme in November 2020 after 14 years.

And as Phillip, 59, appeared on Monday morning’s Lorraine, in a special edition dedicated to his 40 years on TV, another tweet got Eamonn reaching for the like button.

It read: “ITV doing damage limitation for their number one this morning whilst another member of their team has lost her son, quite inconsiderate really #lorraine”.

The tweet made reference to the death of Jamal Edwards, son of Loose Women presenter Brenda Edwards.

Eamonn’s liking spree follows his comments branding Phillip “passive aggressive” over the weekend.

The remarks reignited his feud with Phil two years after Ruth, 61, made an official complaint about him to TV bosses.

Speaking about their time on This Morning, Eamonn told The Daily Mail’s Weekend magazine: “Phillip is renowned for snubbing people.

“He’s very passive-aggressive. It’s up to Ruth to say how she felt, but I was feeling hurt for her. No one would have snubbed me like that.”

REVELATIONS

After his words were published, the veteran broadcaster wrote on his Instagram account: “In reflective mood today ….. but said what had to be said to set the record straight.”

So far Phil has remained silent on his former co-worker’s accusations and instead enjoyed the celebration of his career on ITV’s Lorraine.

He fought back tears as the likes of Richard and Judy, Ant and Dec, plus his wife Steph sent over heartfelt messages.
