EASTENDERS fans were thrilled as serial killer Gray Atkins FINALLY met his match in bloody showdown with Kheerat Panesar.

The lawyer – who is played Toby Alexander on the BBC One soap – is convinced that Kheerat and Whitney Dean have been plotting against him after receiving emails and an envelope containing pages from Chantelle’s online forum detailing her abuse.

Kheerat (Jaz Deol) is nothing short of certain that her husband Gray is responsible for her death and has been determined to get the lawyer to confess to the murder of his wife.

On Monday’s episode, Whitney encouraged Kheerat to stay away from Gray, but the businessman decided to respond to Gray’s desperate call and rushed over to meet him, believing he can get a confession out of him.

However, it quickly became clear that Gray had used his sick son Jordan as a ruse to get Kheerat over to his house.

However, things take a turn for the worse as both Kheerat and Gray struggled to keep their anger in check.

Gray accused Kheerat of sending the anonymous envelope and Kheerat slammed Gray for tormenting Chantelle.

The pest control business owner then read out some of Chantelle’s messages from her private forum.

This hit a nerve and sent Gray over the edge as he leaped onto the table and began to attack Kheerat.

After several punches were thrown, Kheerat was held down by Gray leaving him with no other choice but to pick up the closest thing in an attempt to get free.

Kheerat smacked the lawyer over the head with a bottle and he falls to the ground and is surrounded by a pool of his own blood, leaving Kheerat fearing the worst.

BBC viewers were chuffed that Gray had finally been given a taste of his own medicine.

One wrote: “Omg has Kheerat killed Gray? Getting a good taste of his own medicine.”

Another posted: “I never thought this day would come!”

A third tweeted: “GOOD RIDDANCE to Gray. The callous wifebeater and murderer!”

Last week actor Jaz Deol hinted that Suki Panesar could have a key role in taking down serial killer Gray.

He doesn’t yet know about the other murders he has committed with Tina Carter and Kush Kazemi.

He said: “That’s a really interesting question that we explored during the shooting period. 

“Let’s not forget, Kheerat has studied Gray like a hawk for over a year. Playing his chess pieces very carefully.

“So on some level, he does know, but is he using it as leverage to get Gray to confess? 

“It’s a showdown worth watching because of the natural build up and stakes between these two men. 

“What I can say is it’s one of the best pieces of writing I’ve encountered so far during my time on the Square and it really was the perfect storm of actors, writing and direction.”

While he wouldn’t say what the outcome of the dramatic episode would be, he did hint that Suki could be instrumental in dealing with Gray.

Jaz added: “I think she would have done what any mother would have; protect her child from all possible dangers. 

“And nothing is more dangerous on the square than Gray Atkins.”
