The 2008 Boston Celtics had one of the worst breakups in basketball history. Ray Allen left Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce to join the Miami Heat and LeBron James to win another championship. The trio’s relationship has never been the same after that and they are not speaking terms still.
Kevin Garnett is one of the more vocal teammates of Ray Allen and he was not happy when Ray left for the Heat. Even in his hall of fame speech, KG chose to let Allen’s name from his speech and he even photoshopped him out a picture. However, the duo was scheduled to appear in the all-star game as both of them were named in NBA 75 team. And they gave the fans a hilarious moment.

The league honored the NBA 75 team by calling them out to the stage. Kevin Garnett was named in the forward list and he was already on the podium. Next to him were Paul Pierce and LeBron James. Then it was the guard’s turn to be called upon, and it was Ray Allen, who was next. Allen came up to the stage, and he dabbed up LeBron in the process. He chose to ignore Garnett and Pierce, who was next to Bron. But it was Garnett’s face that took the internet by storm.

How did the beef start?
Garnett and Allen were excellent friends, and they were both part of the 2008 Championship Celtics. Even though they never won again, they were always on the hunt to come out of the East. But everything changed when LeBron joined the Miami Heat and they dominated the conference for the next few years.
In light of this, in 2012, Allen left the Celtics for the Heat and won a championship with them. Things really changed between the duo as KG cut Allen from his life and they have not been on speaking terms since then. KG barely even acknowledges Allen, and this moment is another indication that the beef is still alive and well.
