My best friend faked her pregnancy – we even threw her a gender reveal party before we realised it was a lie

A WOMAN who claims her best friend had faked her pregnancy, said she even had organised a gender reveal party for her.

Helena Riedeburg, 20, from Florida shared the shocking story on her YouTube channel where she boasts 13,000 subscribers, where it has since received almost 40,000 views.

The YouTube star even planned a gender reveal for her friend

The YouTube star revealed that she and her friend Sasha* had bonded over their love of fellow vloggers Dan and Phil.

Shortly before they planned to go to a meet and greet to meet their heroes, Sasha revealed that she was pregnant with a baby boy.

The friends decided that the meet and greet would be the perfect place to host a gender reveal party, persuading Dan and Phil to take part in a video announcement while holding up a sign saying ‘It’s a Boy!’

Helena admitted that she never suspected a thing, that is until Sasha went into labour.

Speaking in the video, she says: “The really weird thing was that she was eight weeks early in her pregnancy.

“It wasn’t like she gave birth eight weeks early and stayed in the hospital, she left the hospital like two days after she gave birth.

“A baby born that early cannot leave the hospital that early, it has to be watched and kept up with.

“You can’t just leave the hospital with a premature baby.”

However, Helena believed her friend, reasoning with herself that ‘why would she lie about being pregnant?’

But as the weeks ticked by, Helena continuously made efforts to see Sasha but the ‘new mum’ continued to put off seeing her.

“She kept cancelling plans and I became a little sceptical,” Helena says.

Helena was also becoming increasingly suspicious over the photos that Sasha had shared of the baby, claiming he looked different in every photo.

She also compared two photos of Sasha seemingly taken on the day she gave birth, and in one she is wearing blue nail polish and in the other she is wearing red.

She wouldn’t send anyone videos of her kid or Facetime anyone to show them the kid

Becoming increasingly suspicious, Helena and her friend Rain decided to get in touch with the hospital

She says: “We decided to call the hospital and ask if anyone with Sasha’s name had been admitted to the hospital in the past two weeks or so.

“Not only did they tell Rain that no one with that name had been in that hospital ever, they also told her they don’t even deliver babies.

“So that was the main hole but there were other little things like her body didn’t look like a pregnant body.

“Another thing was that she wouldn’t send anyone videos of her kid or Facetime anyone to show them the kid.”

After sharing her suspicions, Helena found herself blocked by Sasha who then deleted all of her social media accounts.

While it was never confirmed by Sasha that she had faked her pregnancy, Helena says the evidence is too strong for any other conclusion.

“No one really knows if she faked her pregnancy but there is no way she had a kid,” Helena added.
