Baskin Robbins? Twitter Hilariously Reacts to the New Blue-Pink Alpine F1 Liveries for 2022

On Monday, Alpine Racing unveiled their 2022 F1 challenger, the A522, and of course, as expected, the all-blue livery that stunned the fans in 2021 is no longer the case. With the arrival of new title partners in BWT, pink has now found a place alongside the ‘Alpine’ Blue on the car.

What’s more, Alpine are also the first, and most probably the only team to unveil two different liveries for the upcoming season. While the initial couple of race weekends in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia has pink as the dominant color, the rest of the season will witness a contrasting livery on the A522.

Apart from the pink color around the side-pods, rear wing, and front wing, the rest of the car will stick with blue. Our verdict? We’d suggest the car looks vibrant, and much like Force India and Racing Point, the pink does go well with the Alpine colors.

Nonetheless, there have been mixed responses from the F1 fandom. Many hailed the new Alpine livery to be one of the best of this season. However, there were also a few who alleged that the car is hardly up to the level of their predecessor, A521.

All focus on Alpine’s recent shakedown

Laurent Rossi, the CEO of Alpine, had a rather busy off-season, making abundant changes to the management on the whole. Quite a few individuals lost their jobs while a few had their roles changed. Furthermore, with regards to their engine supplier, Renault, there is a change in the power unit layout.

Hence, high expectations reside on the French outfit as they seek to accomplish their main driver Fernando Alonso’s El-Plan. Of course, it does sound a bit too far-fetched, especially considering the fact that the big three, Mercedes, Red Bull, and Ferrari, are in an entirely different league.

So, will these internal changes bring about a promising start to Alpine’s new era in F1?
