90s pop star Kavana reveals he’s back in rehab after struggle with alcohol saying ‘sorry I wasn’t honest’

NINETIES pop star Kavana is back in rehab after another alcoholism battle.

The 44-year-old apologised for not being “truthful” about his secret struggle.

“Today I go into rehab. Again,” he admitted on Twitter.

“This illness of Alcoholism has got its grip. I’ll be off social media for a while.

“To what family I have left, I’m sorry I wasn’t truthful I’ve been going through a lot of mental struggles.

“Good news I’m going to get the help I need.

“My phone will be off for a while.

“Clint, Aunty Angela, Aunty Maria, Brad, I’m going to be OK and I love you all madly x.”

Kavana shot to fame in 1997 and went on to have huge success with hits including  I Can Make You Feel Good.


He disappeared from the public eye before re-emerging in 2014 as part of the second series of The Big Reunion.

He relaunched his career in pop group 5th Story alongside Dane Bowers, Gareth Gates, Kenzie and Adam Rickitt.

During his time on the show he opened up about his alcohol and drug abuse problems.

He even admitted he lived in a bedsit after falling on hard times.

In 2015 he came seventh in Celebrity Big Brother, before disappearing from the limelight once again.

He was last in rehab in 2017 where he spent three months tackling his alcohol addiction.

But he’s struggling once again following the end of a two-year pandemic, which saw millions of Brits boozing to a “dangerous” level.
