Mock The Week star joins EastEnders next week in rogue cameo fans never saw coming
MOCK the Week’s very own Lucy Porter will be joining EastEnders next week in a rogue cameo on the beloved BBC soap.
Lucy, an award-winning comedian and writer, will appear as newcomer Rita who soon hits it off with Walford taxi driver Mitch Baker.

Rita ends up bonding with Mitch after the cabbie’s young daughter Bailey sets them up on a date in a bid to cheer her dad up.
Lucy will arrive on the square next week, however, it’s currently unclear how many episodes she will appear in.
The TV comic and writer is well known to comedy fans due to her regular appearances on shows such as Live at the Apollo, Would I Lie to You, House of Cards, Have I Got News for You and Mock the Week.
Lucy also often appears on Radio 4 panel game Just a Minute.
This isn’t the first time Lucy has swapped stand-up for acting after she wowed audiences with her role in hit West End show One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest, starring alongside Hollywood star Christian Slater.

She also lent her voice to the portrayal of Kate Middleton in ITV’s animated series Headcases – which was based on current affairs and often mocked the Royal Family.
Lucy is also married to Endeavour and Black Mirror actor Justin Edwards.
